Steve Jackson did a series of CYOA-style books where you ALSO kept track of your basic stats & possessions on a character sheet -- 12-year-old Me found it a captivating concept. 🧙‍♂️📖💜😺

Sure, something like that, except you have to set up a studio & decide whether to get an agent & a gallery or go squat in an abandoned factory with all the other characters...
