It really does. That, or it's a midlife revolt against a long, unsatisfactory career in the arts, manifesting as hostile philistinism barely veneered as nonprofit management advice. This guy is arguing seriously that art is not a valid charitable concern and that the associated nonprofits need to open soup kitchens or whatever or die. It's really strange.

Yes, I'm afraid it was at least microaggression. No wonder the guy canceled him.

The saddest scenario is that this guy may actually believe he's not only virtuous but wise, and thus doing a service by dispensing guidance to the wayward and unevolved. It could be hilarious as a skit on SNL, but this sort of reasoning (it's a figure of speech) is now "validated." Talk about tortured logic.

People say arguing with activists dressed up as artists is waste of time. I agree unless the purpose is to get them and their methods, tactics, etc. on record. Well done.

Harrison sounds like a parody or satire, meaning like a bad joke. If he really believes the nonsensical bunk he's spouting, he's practically demented. However, if he's just playing a currently trendy albeit spurious game out of opportunism, he's merely disreputable, not to say contemptible.

Well, he's evidently smart enough to play according to the prevailing script/narrative/BS.
