Schneid's encyclopedia of Jewish artists should obviously be published, and I would imagine it is largely a matter of money, which could very easily be underwritten by someone like Bill Gates--or any extremely rich person (Jewish or otherwise) with an interest in the arts. Surely that will happen.
So Franklin, since getting that Jewish artists encyclopedia published will require a suitable person to supervise the project, even if a single person cannot do all the work, why couldn't that be you?

Oh no, they need a historian on the project with at least German and Yiddish.
Re the Pogrebin piece: a sense of ignorance? Do tell. Try real ignorance, and plenty of it.
But love that striped suit in the second photo. I'm a sucker for "art person" costumes--they're a hoot.
As for Cohen, with her art budget, I expect I'd be getting considerably more art bang for my buck.
