I do not know if it is your specific arts residency - but a second year UM sculpture student (performance) is part of a residency in Nepal this semester - reportedly starting up a performance program chanting in the mountains. She is originally from China. According to Bokononism this makes you, as fellow UM Alums, both members of a Granfalloon (a false Karass). May your residency at the top of the world reveal your true Karass and may the metaphysical force of Kan-kan bless you by engulfing you in an explosion of thousand Chrysantheum petals.
