I think you should try your hand at some version of Japanese shunga. The contortion of limbs put me in mind of that, and the precedents are many and highly distinguished.
Yes, that's a kind of geometric shunga, minus the usual, uh, prominent genitalia (but I suppose New England is not very conducive to that sort of thing).
