I’ll be in Philly and New York this week, with assignments to cover the upcoming “Matisse in the 1930s” exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, then lead an online live discussion with Matthew Lopas and Mark Lewis in conjunction with their show at Zeuxis, “Shape of Vision,” on Saturday the 15th. Consider this a general call to hang at some point. Please don’t take offense if I haven’t reached out to you already, I’m blessed in many ways, but not with great powers of social organization.
Other items on the itinerary include:
“Modigliani Up Close” at the Barnes (press preview)
The Bill Porter reading at the Judd Foundation in conjunction with “Peter Novros - Paintings”
“Leland Bell: Paint, Precision, and Placement” at the New York Studio School
“Kim Uchiyama: Heat & Shadow” at The Lobby Gallery at 499 Park Avenue
“Eric Dever: To Look at Things in Bloom” and “Elizabeth Osborne: A Retrospective” at Berry Campbell Gallery
If I can get to it:
“Eric Aho: Threshold” at D.C. Moore Gallery
“Jules Olitski: 100 Paintings 100 Years” at Yares Art
“Kimono Style,” “In Praise of Painting,” “Hear Me Now,” et al. at the Met
“The Little Prince: Taking Flight” at the Morgan Library
What did I miss? Kindly let me know in the comments, with links if you know how to do that. I hope to cross paths with you.
