I have a show up.
I am the featured artist this month at our lovely local library, with six new pieces and one older one up on the walls. We’re having a reception on Saturday, September 23, 10 AM to noon. All are welcome and I’ll be there. For more information, contact the Fuller Public Library.
Pictured are Scholar, 2023, oil on canvas, 30 x 48 inches, and Black to Play, oil on linen, 48 x 30 inches. The subject matter of the latter piqued the interest of the cribbage meetup today, whom I informed that the depicted game is Go. One of the cribbage players said that the title of the former is Wordsworth, because that’s obviously what the scholar is reading. You be the judge:

So yes, for your next show, I suggest a nymph series. None of this current Barbie crap, which is lame *and* embarrassing. You can go with the famous nymphs or create your own. I was recently much taken with https://tinyurl.com/yc54dvxj , a nymph nursing her foot after being stung by a scorpion.
Wordsworth? Do people still know who that is? I have an idea--call it Sappho and see what happens.
